An Architecture for Integrating CDMA2000 and 802.11 WLAN Networks

Low cost, high speed wireless LAN networks can be integrated within the cellular coverage to provide hot spot coverage for high speed data services. This article presents a novel approach for integrating North American 3G cellular network and 802.11 wireless LAN networks. The intertechnology mobility is supported using the standard cdma2000 functions and signaling.
